Dear Member,
Please take a moment to read this important update and reflect on who you feel would be a strong leader to nominate for the PAASD Board of Directors.
The election will be held at the Annual Membership Meeting in January 2026. Nomination forms must be returned to the Executive Administrator (executive@paasd.com) by December 12, 2025. This allows time to distribute all nominations and candidate bios to PAASD voting members 30 days prior to the election on January 21, 2026. Per Board policy, any nominations received or postmarked after December 12, 2025, will not be accepted.
At the Fall Conference Board Meeting held in Deadwood on October 13, 2025, the PAASD Board of Directors reelected Scott Kopplin as President and Patrick Wyatt as Vice President. Both will begin their second one-year terms at the 2026 Annual Meeting.
Board openings available in January 2026:
• Two 3-year Director positions (terms running from the 2026 Annual Meeting to the 2029 Annual Meeting)
The Board encourages you to be thoughtful about who you would like to see representing you. When submitting a nomination, please be sure you have received permission from that individual before putting their name forward. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged if you feel called to serve, contribute your leadership, and help strengthen our South Dakota organization.
Click on the “Nomination Form button” at the top of this email, to self-nominate or submit a nomination for the open positions. Please use one form per nomination and duplicate the form as needed. Only one nomination per person, please do not nominate the same individual for multiple positions.
