About the Course:
During the 2020 SD Legislative Session, HB 1127 was passed unanimously by both the House and the Senate. This Bill allows SD credentialed appraisers to complete evaluations for certain clients. With the Governor’s signature, the Bill became law on July 1, 2020.
However, the Administrative Rules that further define the allowance for SD appraisers to offer evaluations go into effect after the legislative Rules Hearing in the first part of November.
This virtual 4-hour seminar will provide attendees with the “when” and “how” of Evaluations.
· It will highlight the differences between an appraisal and an evaluation.
· It will provide sample evaluations.
· It will illustrate how appraisers may find themselves with a complaint or disciplinary action if
they don’t fully understand evaluations.
· It will explain the When and How to offer evaluations to your clients.
Evaluations are a huge new market for SD credentialed appraisers – please acquaint yourself with them at this virtual seminar.
NOTE: To receive CE credit, you will have to have a working camera and audio on your internet connected computer. The session monitor must be able to see each of the students and verify that they are participating at all times throughout the seminar.

The South Dakota Appraisal Certification Program will be represented by Executive Director, Ms. Sherry Bren, and Members of the Advisory Council. Banking Representatives will also be present to help lead the discussion on Evaluations.
